Description
SPECIALTY TECHS — WE WANT YOU!
Do you have a specialty you’re passionate about?
Do you enjoy complicated cases, highly educated doctors, and patients with approximately 17 different problems happening simultaneously?
Evolution Veterinary Specialists is looking for experienced specialty technicians in:
ONCOLOGY
CARDIOLOGY
SURGERY
And yes, we’re serious about finding really good technicians. The kind who know their stuff, advocate for their patients, and make the doctors’ lives easier rather than creating additional fires to put out.
WHAT WE ACTUALLY NEED FROM YOU:
Current Colorado RVT credential preferred/required based on role
Meaningful experience in your specialty
Comfortable managing complicated specialty patients
Strong technical skills and attention to detail
Able to anticipate what the doctor needs before they have to ask
Comfortable speaking up when something doesn’t look right
Excellent patient monitoring and client communication skills
Able to work collaboratively with DVMs, specialists, and the rest of the team
Dependable — if you say you’re coming, please actually come. Revolutionary, we know.
Able to maintain your sense of humor when the schedule goes completely off the rails
ONCOLOGY TECHS
If you know the difference between a lymphoma protocol and “just give them some fluids,” we should talk.
We’re looking for someone comfortable with oncology patients, chemotherapy protocols, catheter placement, treatment monitoring, cytotoxic safety, and all the emotional complexity that comes with cancer medicine.
CARDIOLOGY TECHS
If you can appreciate a beautiful echocardiogram, confidently manage a cardiac patient, and know that “the heart is a little enlarged” is not an acceptable cardiology report…
We want you.
Experience with echocardiography, ECGs, cardiac monitoring, anesthesia, and advanced cardiac patients is a huge plus.
SURGERY TECHS
If your idea of a good day involves a sterile field, an organized instrument table, and knowing exactly where the surgeon’s instrument is before they ask for it…
We’re listening.
We’re looking for technicians with strong anesthesia, surgical nursing, patient monitoring, and sterile technique skills who genuinely enjoy working in a high-level surgical environment.
WHAT YOU’LL GET AT EVS
24/7 specialty + emergency hospital
Oncology
Cardiology
Surgery
Critical Care
Emergency Medicine
A team that genuinely enjoys working together
Lots of advanced cases and opportunities to keep learning
Probably too much caffeine
Most importantly, we want technicians who want to practice at the top of their skill set.
If you’re tired of being told “that’s just how we’ve always done it” and want to work somewhere that actually values excellent technicians…
Come talk to us.

Requirements
THE QUALIFICATIONS (YES, THE REAL ONES):
Current Colorado RVT credential required — we love enthusiasm, but enthusiasm alone cannot legally place that catheter.
At least 3 years of ER or specialty veterinary experience — you’ve seen some things, handled some chaos, and know that “quick procedure” is a phrase to approach with caution.
Strong technical skills and clinical judgment — you can anticipate what your patients need and recognize when something isn't right.
Comfortable managing complex cases — because sometimes the patient has a longer problem list than your grocery list.
Excellent communication skills — you can communicate clearly with doctors, teammates, and clients, even when things get busy.
A team-first mentality — you understand that excellent patient care takes a whole team, and nobody is above helping where needed.
Dependability and accountability — if you commit to a shift, we can count on you. Revolutionary concept, we know.
A commitment to patient advocacy, compassionate care, and continued learning.
A sense of humor — because veterinary medicine is serious business, but we don't have to take ourselves seriously every minute of the day.
Bonus points: You love learning, enjoy a good clinical challenge, and get genuinely excited when you have the opportunity to put your skills to work.
We’re looking for excellent technicians and excellent teammates. If that sounds like you, let’s talk!
