This position provides coding and coding auditing services based on operative reports according to correct coding principles, current NCCI rules and LCD coverage determinations. This includes the analysis and translation of medical and clinical diagnoses, procedures, injuries, or illnesses into designated numerical codes. The coder also acts as a liaison to the physicians and clinical teams and provides feedback to physicians and management staff regarding proper documentation and coding and works within company standards to maintain policy and procedures. Meets coding and abstracting deadlines to expedite the billing and charge entry process and ensures best practices are met according to departmental policy and procedures. This team member will be proficient in all areas to ensure cross coverage.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Cardiology Coder (CCC) required
4+ years of physician billing to include at least 1+ years of coding experience abstracting from medical record documentation
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Diversified understanding of CPT guidelines and Medicare rules and regulations
Knowledge of ICD-9/10 codes, CPT, and HCPCs
Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills; organizational skills
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's Degree
Radiation Oncology Certified Coder (ROCC)
Certified ASC Coder Credential (CASCC)
Claim Management, Denial Management
1+ years of experience of designated specialty coding experience
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $58,800 to $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
