RADIATION ONCOLOGIST at INDEPENDENT PRIVATE PRACTICE
RADIATION ONCOLOGIST at INDEPENDENT PRIVATE PRACTICE
Description
RADIATION ONCOLOGIST — INDEPENDENT PRIVATE PRACTICE WITH LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP POTENTIAL
Portland, Oregon | Full-Time or Part-Time | On-Site or Hybrid
Help build the next chapter of a 40-year independent radiation oncology practice.
There are increasingly few places in radiation oncology where a physician can influence not only how patients are treated, but also how the practice itself develops. Meridian Park Radiation Oncology is one of them.
Meridian Park Radiation Oncology is a locally owned, freestanding cancer clinic that has served the Portland metropolitan community since 1984. We have remained independent by combining sound clinical judgment, personal accountability and a genuinely individualized approach to patient care.
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible radiation oncologist to join our practice. Full-time participation is preferred, but we will consider part-time, phased or other mutually agreeable arrangements for the right physician. We welcome both experienced physicians and candidates who completed residency in 2026.
Our primary objective is to establish a meaningful, long-term relationship. The physician’s clinical schedule, compensation, benefits, leadership responsibilities and eligibility for incentive compensation will therefore be structured to reflect the individual’s experience, availability and level of involvement in the practice.
This is not a narrowly scripted institutional position. Its foundation is excellent, broad-based community radiation oncology care. Beyond clinical practice, the physician will have an opportunity to contribute to patient access, relationships with referring physicians and community partners, service development, quality improvement and the future direction of the center.
We use “entrepreneurial” in a practical sense: we are looking for someone who recognizes opportunities, follows through on them and wants both the authority and accountability that come with helping an independent practice grow. The successful candidate will value direct communication, thoughtful decision-making and long-term stewardship of the practice.
Physicians interested in a defined part-time or coverage arrangement are also encouraged to contact us. Where appropriate, an alternative contractual arrangement may be considered after review of the proposed schedule, scope of services and relationship.
WHAT WE OFFER
Base compensation and performance-based incentive compensation structured according to the physician’s experience, schedule and anticipated role Comprehensive employee benefits Medical malpractice coverage Paid time off and professional development support, as applicable Meaningful participation in practice strategy and growth Potential consideration for future partnership or ownership based on sustained clinical performance, contribution to the practice, level of involvement and mutual fit.
The initial position is employment-based. Any future partnership or ownership opportunity would be separately evaluated and negotiated. Alternative contractual arrangements may be considered where appropriate.
